We hope that you will help the Fernwood Kids as they embark on collected items for Migrant Workers in South Georgia. We join the work of young Physician Assistant students from Emory University Medical School as they travel to South Georgia to provide health care and support to Latino and Haitian workers as they harvest some of the very produce we eat here in the Upstate.

Since these workers are in the harsh sun all day, they are in need of:

  • USED HATS AND CAPS
  • MENS LONG PANTS SIZES 28-38
  • TRAVEL SIZE SUNSCREEN
  • SUNGLASSES
  • NON DRESSY SHOES (OLD SNEAKERS, SANDALS, FLIP FLOPS FOR SHOWER STALLS—PLEASE TIE TOGETHER)
  • REUSABLBE WATER BOTTLES (can be used as long as they are clean)

The children will be collecting these items in bins in the area where the Pastor Portraits are located. We will collect through the end of May.
