Romany Education — Slovakia
Education is important for Romany children in Slovakia to have a chance at success in life. CBF field personnel Jon and Tanya Parks teach in a school for Romany children. Despite their status as Europe’s largest ethnic minority group, many Roma — especially in Slovakia and other Eastern European countries —experience discrimination and live in generation- al cycles of poverty and dependence. Jon and Tanya believe that education and the gospel can make the biggest difference in forming a new future for Roma communities.

Despite their status as Europe’s largest ethnic minority group, many Roma — es- pecially in Slovakia and other Eastern European countries — experience discrimination and live in generational cycles of poverty and dependence.
